She is a Hollywood star who shot to stardom in 2004 starring alongside Lindsay Lohan in the hit show Mean Girls.

But seven years in the limelight hasn’t turned Amanda Seyfried into a pampered princess and she is more than happy to get her hands dirty with the housework.

The 25-year-old Little Red Riding Hood actress arrived home in Portland after a workout and realised it was time to take the bins out so instead of calling on the help she did the chore herself.

As she approached the bin she noticed a rogue piece of rubbish on the floor, picked it up and hauled the huge blue bin out onto the side of the road, ready for collection.

Amanda was dressed in a pair of black workout trousers and a white vest and had a grey jumper wrapped around her shoulders.

She wore a pair of black and white trainers and carried a black leather handbag as she performed her chores.

Amanda’s Australian shepherd dog Finn sat on the pavement watching his mistress as she carried out the menial task.

'It was pretty good kissing him. Kissing somebody on film can sometimes be a bit of work, but he was so easy,' she says.
